Water Supply

Usakos Town Council > Water Supply

At Usakos, we have our own water source.

The Council owns two boreholes which supply water to the town. NAWATER Ltd supplements the town’s own water supply through a borehole which they own at Usakos.

However, despite having our own water source through the boreholes, the underground water is running dry and recovery is slow.

The Council therefore advices the community to use water wisely. Please do the following in an effort to save water:

  • Report water pipe bursts to the Town Council immediately
  • Keep water taps tight closed at all time to avoid water leaks
  • Do regular inspection of your water pipe to look out for possible pipe bursts.
  • Wash vehicles with water from a bucket or basin instead of spraying with water pipe.

When it comes to water, every drop counts!
